THE BRIEF

While Reali’s mission was certainly a noble one, the challenge we faced was communicating the benefits to the consumer. Nothing about homeownership is easy, so how do we (quickly!) convey a meaningful message that our customers will respond to? 

With a shift in organizational strategy to focus on core products (versus the full suite), our mandate was to update the web design, messaging, and SEO strategy to align with this shift without compromising the search integrity of the existing website.

THE APPROACH

The previous website took a painfully detailed approach to explain Reali’s full suite of real estate products. But research showed that our audience was getting lost in the details and was missing the bigger picture. 

With "cut the crap" as our guiding principle, we set to work going back to basics, building a modular system that made testing, optimization, and expansion a breeze. We also implemented a more rigorous content strategy, designed to educate and make personal connections, all the while gently nudging customers further down the funnel. 

Careful not to have a negative impact on SEO (and customer perceptions), we didn’t remove content so much as optimize its form and placement. We shifted the process minutiae from main pages into comprehensive How-Tos and FAQs in favor of content proven to perform (video testimonials, comparison tables).

THE RESULTS

Our efforts to streamline and simplify the Reali web experience paid off. In the first 6 months, unique page views increased an average of 16% per month, and MQL volume increased 24%. Our domain authority increased by 10 points.
